Warehouse Operations – Preventing Collisions

Scenario: Warehouse workers moved goods across aisles, while forklifts and other machinery were constantly in motion.

Challenge: Workers were at risk of being struck by machinery due to poor visibility, especially in blind spots or busy aisles.

Solution: Warehouse workers wore fluorescent safety vests with reflective stripes to improve visibility. Forklift drivers were trained to identify workers in vests before maneuvering around them.

Result: The vests dramatically reduced the number of incidents where workers were involved in collisions with forklifts. The added visibility allowed both workers and machinery operators to navigate the warehouse safely and efficiently.
